Horze South Africa is the South African online equestrian store for the Horze brand, operated by Che Val Mode (Pty) Ltd from Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng. We sell riding clothing, safety-certified riding helmets, riding boots, horse tack, rugs, fly protection, grooming kit and equine health products to riders in all nine South African provinces — priced in South African rand, stocked locally, and couriered door-to-door in 1–2 business days to most metropolitan areas.

The range
What Horze South Africa sells
We stock a full equestrian range for the rider and the horse — from a first pair of jodhpurs for a pony-club rider to a MIPS competition helmet, a leather dressage bridle or a summer fly sheet. Everything is held in our Gauteng warehouse and shipped from South Africa, so there are no import duties, no customs delays and no exchange-rate surprises at checkout.

Our history
A Finnish yard, a global brand, a South African home
Horze began in the early 1980s in Lahti, a small town in southern Finland, making practical things riders needed every day: horseshoes, harnesses and horse rugs. The Horze retail brand followed, the range grew, and today Horze is one of Europe’s largest equestrian retailers, with a European head office in Fulda, Germany, online stores in a dozen countries and tens of thousands of products. Horze South Africa brings that range to riders here — locally stocked, locally priced, and backed by people who ride.
- 1980sThe business starts in Lahti, Finland, producing horseshoes, harnesses and horse rugs for local riders and trotting stables.
- 2003The Horze brand launches as a rider-facing retail range, with the first concept stores opening across the Nordics soon after.
- 2018A new European head office opens in Fulda, Germany, supplying riders in Scandinavia, Germany, France, the UK, Ireland and beyond.
- TodayHorze South Africa runs horze.co.za from Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng — the same product development, adapted to South African riding, weather and pricing.
Horze
Our core own brand. Horze products are developed in-house for the demands of everyday riding and competition — functional, hard-wearing and priced so that a well-made pair of tall boots or a certified helmet is not a once-a-decade purchase. Because we design and sell it ourselves, you are not paying a distributor’s margin.
B//Vertigo
Our technical performance brand, developed with competitive riders and built around fabric and fit — silicone grip breeches and tights, MIPS helmets and show-ring apparel for riders who want the technical detail of a premium label at a realistic price.

Orders placed on a business day are picked and dispatched within 12 hours, and reach most metropolitan addresses in 1–2 business days. Every parcel is a door-to-door courier delivery with a tracking number emailed from our warehouse.
Farms and outlying areas
If couriers struggle to find your yard, choose PostNet-to-PostNet collection at your nearest branch. Rural and outlying deliveries typically land in 2–4 business days. We cannot deliver to post-box addresses.

A 30-day safety net
If an item is unused with tags and packaging intact, you have 30 days to return or exchange it. If we sent the wrong item, we cover the collection and send the right one free.
